Jibble alternative: QRtimetrack vs Jibble, honestly compared
Jibble is free for unlimited users and offers face recognition, GPS, geofencing, a kiosk and offline mode. QRtimetrack is paid (€1.99 per active employee per month) but adds QR codes at each site, keeps biometrics on the employee's phone instead of a server, and is built for crews on sites, shops and field work.

Where Jibble is better
- Price at zero: the free plan covers unlimited users, which no paid app can beat.
- More clock-in hardware options: NFC and RFID on the kiosk.
- Built-in face recognition if you specifically want the system to match faces.
Where QRtimetrack is better
- QR codes per location: proof the employee stood at that site, combined with the GPS zone. See QR code time clock.
- Less biometric data risk: Face ID or the fingerprint is checked by the phone itself; we only receive a cryptographic confirmation. Under the GDPR, biometric templates are special category data. More in time clock comparison.
- One price, everything included: no feature tiers; tasks and integrations are in Standard.
- Inspection-ready records: corrections need a reason and stay in the history; staff confirm their month on the phone.
Moving from Jibble
Export your Jibble timesheets for your archive, create your locations in QRtimetrack, print the QR codes and send employees their link. Most teams run both for a week, then switch. See the setup guide and features and pricing.
Frequently asked questions
Is Jibble really free?
Jibble's plans page says it is free forever for unlimited users, with mobile and web clock-ins and basic timesheets; more advanced features are in paid plans (checked November 2026).
Why pay for QRtimetrack if Jibble is free?
If you need QR proof at each site, biometrics kept on the employee's phone rather than a server, and all features at one price, QRtimetrack costs €1.99 per active employee per month. If free matters most, Jibble is a reasonable choice.
Does QRtimetrack use facial recognition?
No. The selfie is an ordinary photo attached to the punch and deleted after 30 days. Identity can be confirmed with the phone's own Face ID or fingerprint, which never leaves the phone.
Do both apps work offline?
Yes. Both save punches without signal and sync them later.
